OooooWWWWWW!!! I managed to slip on Thursday and while saving myself from falling out the door flat on my face I jolted by back badly and my resemblance to Donald Duck - walk wise! - is getting stronger and stronger. All those pregnancy hormones designed to loosen your pelvic ligaments etc… bah! And since I’ve been told I definitely have to have a scheduled c-section I don’t even need the damn things anyway. Ah well, there are worse things in this world.

I had great intentions of starting this blog loooooonnnnng ago but time and procrastination being what they are, I’ve suddenly found myself at 27 weeks and 2 days and not a word of blogging complete. Ah well, I’m here now so that’s got to count for something.
On Wednesday evening last I took myself and my fellow preggie friend off to the City North Hotel on the M1 for the Irish Premiere of Ricki Lake’s new documentary “The Business of Being Born” which was hosted by the wonderful AIMS Ireland (Association for the Improvement of Maternity Services) - not for the faint hearted but a really interesting look at the state of Maternity services in the US. The screening was followed by a lively debate with a great panel which left me with lots of food for thought.
